On a sub textual level it deals with consumer issues and habits, obsession with body beautiful, chopping and pasting ones personality to suit the other, scrutinizing and one another. The singer is describing getting hurt within relationships and falling for deception. - I have used this as a base for my story and creating a metaphor for this. My narrative suggests that a couple goes through a dissecting process when they are together and are cut apart literally when they break up. (This seems to be acceptable by the masses and is even bought and sold as a condition of love in the 21st century.) The Butcher in the film is none other than Mark Brandon 'Chopper" Read. He is a famous murderer, criminal in Australia, who has done his time, left prison and become a self branding Artist., 'Pop Artist'. You can see his life and story in the feature film 'Chopper' starring Eric Banner. Because of his status and the sensationalism of the piece, this film was Banned from Australian TV and has only been able to play at festivals, when it gets in. All of the shots have a 3D animation element. Nothing you see is real, it was all shot against blue screen and built up in 3D. We had no computerized cameras, so it is all lined up by hand. The team preformed wonderfully. The work has inspired a whole art show that are still images of the artists with their heads for sale in meat trays. This is a true work of popular culture verses sensationalism. I hope you enjoy it.
