The 50th anniversary of The Sea Ranch in 2014-15 was the occasion for a public forum at TSR’s historic Knipp-Stengel Barn

. Six architecture and landscape specialists analyzed the TSR founders’ plans for an ecological community, critiqued TSR’s evolution over the past 50 years, and made recommendations for the future. Their comments enhanced understanding of past developments and will influence internal discussions about the future of The Sea Ranch.
The panelists were asked to address the following questions:
•How well has TSR fulfilled the vision of its founders?
•What are the greatest challenges and opportunities at TSR today?
•How might TSR evolve to address these and future challenges?
