the famous daylight raid on the MAN submarine engine factory. Of one squadron of six Lancaster’s that took part only Nettleton's ‘KM-B’ for Baker returned, after which he was awarded the VC. Patrick, just 20 at the time, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his part in the raid. At the time of this interview, Patrick was the last surviving member of the crew. Patrick sadly passed away on 6th June 2016 aged 94.
