ftime performance. We all worked very hard and put a lot of time into the rehearsals to make this as great as it was. Dancers auditioned from studios, and high schools, all around MN. We were brought together for a rare bonding moment of collaboration with each other. Lifelong friends were made and we had an amazing time working with top-notch professionals at such a young age.
As part of our compensation for our involvement, we were each mailed a copy of this video. I post this with the intent that the dancers and performers involved could watch their work and show their friends what they did back in 1992.
NFL owners voted to award Super Bowl XXVI to Minneapolis during their May 24, 1989 meeting. It became the second Super Bowl to be played in a cold, winter climate city.
The Metrodome also hosted the 1992 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four, making it the only stadium to host both events in the same calendar year. It also hosted the 1991 World Series as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Atlanta Braves. Minneapolis is the only city and the Metrodome is the only arena to host all three events in a 12-month span. The Metrodome was filled to the brim with an attendance of 63,130. To date, this is the northernmost Super Bowl ever played.
The cost of a 30-second Super Bowl commercial in 1992 was $850,000 usd.
National Anthem was sung by Harry Connick Jr.
The Halftime show featured Gloria Estefan and Olympic champions Dorothy Hamill and Brian Boitano.
Washington Redskins (NFC) 37
Buffalo Bills (AFC) 24
