AN-94 Disassembly and Reassembly HD - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Q_LfbFc8M
This is how the Russian AN 94 assault rifle achieves it's super accurate two round burst by accumulating the recoil for
...
ce of both shots in to a single backward movement of the barrel and inner receiver.
First thing to notice is that this weapon has a barrel attached to an internal receiver which contains bolt carrier and bolt, altogether called Integrated Firing Unit(IFU), which slides inside the external receiver. IFU comes in to a firm contact with the external receiver only when it is pushed backwards by several inches.
When the first shot is fired, IFU starts to slide back due to the recoil force.
While the IFU is sliding back due to the recoil force of the first shot, a second round is quickly loaded and fired causing the IFU to slide backwards even faster, and ultimately coming in to contact with the external receiver. As the IFU contacts the external receiver this cumulative recoil force is transferred to the external receiver, buttstock and ultimately to the shoulder of the shooter.
