certo and sonata, he is remembered (if at all) for sets of short, light, piano pieces. However, he did write some more serious works, including a sonata. These pieces, published in 1910, have considerable gravitas, and reflect various contemporary influences. One can see traces of Faure and York Bowen in the first one; and maybe Debussy and Scriabin in the second.
