Kennedy, and Stephen G. Breyer. In addition, M. Vincent Lamanda, premier président de la Cour de cassation (who presents the award), the Chief Justice of England and Wales, Lord Phillips and the Dean of the Cornell Law School, Stewart J. Schwab were present. The audience consisted of leading European and U.S. judicial authorities who were attending an unprecedented international judicial conference. The event also included the dedication of the Cornell University Center for Documentation on American Law for which Professor Germain was also responsible.
