nd was developed to address challenges of traditional exposure therapies by offering a means to overcome the natural avoidance tendencies associated with trauma. The platform aims to use virtual reality (VR) to target the effects of PTSD and depression to reduce veteran suicides. VR therapies were shown to be successful in patients with PTSD who did not respond positively to traditional imaginal Prolonged Exposure therapy treatments. VR treatment has the potential to increase clinical effectiveness, reduce the stigma surrounding PTSD treatment, and engage younger veterans in treatment because of VR’s cultural prominence.
