Performed on my first Master's Recital at Rice University in Duncan Recital Hall.
A trio for bassoon, horn, and cello by American composer Anthony Suter. Tony and I met at the University of Texas
...
at Austin, where I heard one of the first performances of this piece. I was looking for repertoire involving the bassoon and horn for this recital, and remembered this piece. It is a real tour de force, especially for the bassoonist, and really shows all of the color and blending possibilities this trio can achieve.
Sorry for the very brief intro/outro, I had to get it as close to 15 minutes as possible!
Performers:
TK DeWitt - bassoon
Matt Muehl-Miller - horn
Cara Cheung - cello
