I downloaded this video time-lapse from the Gemini Cloudcam website. The cloudcam is located at the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii (Credit: Gemini Observatory/AURA). The thunderstorm was north of the

observatory on the night of July 24, 2017. I enhanced it a little to better show the color of the Gigantic Jets. There were several Gigantic Jets captured by their camera but not all of them were complete. The ripples in the sky high above the storm clouds are what is known as gravity waves. These gravity waves are located very near the Ionosphere at about 90 Km. I want to thank Steve Cullen for discovering this event at the Gemini cloudcam website and Grahame Kelaher for posting it on our facebook page.
