There is a weird story here. Stefan Kéry (of the Swedish band The Stomach Mouths) who ran a label called Subliminal sent to me a few copies of his Erkin Koray compilation to send to the press when we were selling them at The Freak Emporium (a mail order operation I ran) . I sent Peel a copy. I didn't hear back (he was the sort of bloke who would call back and say thanks for stuff which he did when I sent him an LP by Japanese band White Heaven...worth a bit now) and then a few months later this video came out mail order on VHS, I grabbed a copy and lo and behold there he is talking about the Erkin Koray album I sent him and holding it up in front of the camera! Spooky or what! Great to see it again.

+Richard Allen Thanks for this Richard, really interesting, I always wondered why that Album was featured, I knew all the others but that just seemed to come from nowhere..great story. By the way I do remember `The Freak Emporium` very well, purchased several items from it myself, there was some great stuff in there!!

This is from Rare, Precious Or Beautiful, a 1995 documentary released on VHS. It was never shown on TV.

+RarestRecords How did you get a copy of yours? Did you buy the copy in VHS format before the days of the internet or did you buy it recently online?
