Chomsky：I was misled by my lack of the ability to read Chinese. That's what misled me. Nothing else. So I didn't, I can't understand what was on the poster.
My impression of what it was was may be wrong. I still don't know what it says.
Sometimes it's a conscious effort to misuse. I found out about such cases so often.
Well I couldn't have held it in that case 'cause I just don't know. I mean what I know is I'm against media monopoly and I'm in favor of free press.
Well I wouldn't take part in anti-China or pro-China campaign, either. It's not my business. That's Taiwanese have to figure out.
