SOT, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, Russian Defence Ministry spokesperson (Russian): "Russian Defence Minister took a decision to name Moscow Military Music College after the Alexandrov Ensemble Director, Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov, deceased in the plane crash. At the moment, the operational headquaters is located in Alexandrov Ensamble building, where the relatives of the victims are provided with all the necessary assistance."
SOT, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, Russian Defence Ministry spokesperson (Russian): "Relatives of each officer and civil employee of the Defence Ministry will be compensated with 5,8 million of roubles. At 8.05 AM (local time) the Il-76 military aircraft delivered to Moscow ten bodies and 86 fragments of the victims found at the site of the crash. At the Moscow Bureau of Judicial Medical Examination specialists of the 111th Centre for Forensic Examination of the Russian Defence Ministry started taking genetic samples of the relatives for further examination of the remains and identification of the victims. The number of people and equipment deployed in the area of the search operation is growing. Vessels, divers and aviation equipment are arriving at the area. The Il-76, that delivered two manned submersibles of the Russian Geographical Society, equipped with manipulators for complex underwater works at great depths, has landed in Adler airport. A group of unmanned aircraft of the Defence Ministry is growing as well. Two unmanned aerial vehicles ‘Granat-4’ started monitoring the surface situation, which allowed to continuously monitor all the research sectors.
At the moment 45 vessels, five helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles are operating in the research area."
