ICA will introduce a New Clearance Concept (NCC) to provide seamless, secure and efficient immigration clearance experience for all travellers from 2022.
Singaporeans can look forward to a contactless

"breeze-through" immigration clearance where they will be identified by their facial and iris biometrics without the need to present their passports. For foreign visitors, NCC will leverage advance arrival information, data analytics and biometrics to allow them to use automated immigration gates.
The Electronic Arrival Card (EAC) will enable eligible travellers to submit their personal information and trip details electronically prior to arrival. The EAC will eventually replace the paper-based disembarkation/embarkation card that foreign travellers are currently required to submit on arrival.
ICA will also embark on a new generation automated lanes known as Automated Border Control System (ABCS), where Singaporeans can enjoy contactless "breeze-through" clearance through the use of facial and iris biometrics for identity verification, without the need for their passports to be scanned. In future, foreign visitors will also be able to use the ABCS to perform self-clearance, without the need for prior enrolment.
ICA officers will be able to make use of a Mobile Clearance System (MCS) application on handheld mobile devices when attending to travellers requiring further assistance when using automated lanes on arrival. This will help them make swift and informed decisions when handling such travellers.
From 2021, foreign visitors will receive electronic Visit Passes (e-Pass) via email or SMS on the length of stay granted instead of the traditional endorsement stamps on their passports.
