r in the early 1930's. Re-appropriated many times over, it has served various, marginalised social groups - becoming a landmark in folklore and local consciousness.
In 2005, Sea Point politicians attempted to demolish the structure. Still severely damaged, the pool's future is uncertain.
Behind the Wall visually documents this stark natural environment and uniquely constructed space, while exploring its richly layered social history.
