an old rumor that the dog on the cover of Alice in Chains' 1995 self-titled album (also known as "Tripod" or "The Dog Album") and on the music video for "Grind" belonged to Jerry Cantrell, but it wasn't his. Cantrell explains in this video. A dog named Sunshine was the dog in the "Grind" video. A fax with the image of a different dog was used for the album cover.
