The first ever trials of using acacia tree seeds pelleted in a special nutrient rich mix of biochar to aerial seed degraded dryland forests and improve biodiversity in areas suffering from overgrazing

, fires, charcoal burning etc. in Africa.
At only about 1 shilling per tree - this has the potential to radically reduce the cost of landscape scale reafforestation in Africa.
This is a short shot of the first speed and altitude trials above an old quarry and some fallow farm land near Ethi. At 100 knots and 1,500ft the spread is about 1 seed ball per 20sq meters at 30knots and 200ft the spread is about 1 seed ball per 2sq meters when dispersed by hand.
Many thanks to our wonderful partners, Chardust Ltd. (http://www.chardust.com/) and Tropic Air Kenya for enabling this trial to happen.
