by WH Smith, and fronted in the main by His Diddiness, David Hamilton.
Here we have a collection of links, menus and trailers from the week before closedown, as well as the final moments of the channel before the butterfly meets its terrible fate.
Like Screensport (which was also owned by WH Smith, and closed just over a month after Lifestyle) the channel also chose to bow out with a roll of honour for all the people who had worked on the service.
Next day, Lifestyle's transponder on the Astra satellite transferred to the German language news channel Vox, which still exists today, although without quite so much news on it.
