Five Pieces of Wood & Some String. I make a Crossbow. Skåne style Lockbow. (the Skåne lockbow is an early type of crossbow, a 16th century example of which was discovered in Sweden in the 1940s).

I find a piece of deadfall yew, too small for a longbow. So I made my first crossbow prod. The yew has a bad kink in the right limb, exaggerating the shape. It's not a brilliant bow but it is my first for a crossbow, it draws about 30lbs. I used waste wood from the shed to make the rest of the bow - a piece of pine for the tiller and three pieces of hazel for the push-pin and quarrels.
Thanks to Jasper Vianen for the initial idea.
