. Kearns' third major appearance on the highly-acclaimed television show. He performed "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," a traditional Christmas hymn taken from the Gospel of St. Luke when he described the Angels announcing the Birth of Jesus to the shepherds near Bethlehem. Mr. Kearns is the original founding member of The Irish Tenors, with whom he has 10 best-selling CDs and five PBS Specials. He frequently performs at charity concerts, on television, and with the finest symphony orchestras and opera houses. In 2013, he opened the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C., was the guest of Speaker of the House John Boehner for the 2013 Friends of Ireland Lunch where he received a standing ovation led by President Barack Obama, and he performed for General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to honor Medal of Honor recipients. In addition, Kearns performed at a ceremony to commemorate President John F. Kennedy's visit to Ireland in June 1963 at Arlington National Cemetery. He is well regarded as one of the world's finest tenors.
