tion was formerly named the Great Western/Canadian Railway Station. The Great Western Railway was the first railway to come through Oxford County in 1853. In 1882, the railroad changed names to The Grand Trunk Railway. After adding several branches, the name was again changed to the Canadian National Railway in 1923. The Heritage Protection Act of 1988 did not lead to restoration or protection of the station.
