Sir Desmond Swayne has denied endorsing conspiracy theories after he was accused of "spreading misinformation" on Covid-19.

Speaking to talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, Mr Swain said: “I was completely unaware of Angela Rayner’s letter until you just announced it to me.
“I spoke to Save Our Rights about their campaign against lockdown, because I share their objective. I don’t believe I have said anything to anyone that I am not on record of saying in the House of Commons.
“Anyone who wants to talk to me about vaccines can consult my website… I am the most enthusiastic vaxxer.”
