SOT, Alexander Kudryavtsev, Spokesperson of Federal National Guard Troops Service (Russian): "Today in the Moscow Regional Court five defendants, in the case of the so-called GTA criminal group, attacked the police officers escorting them, took possession of their weapons, and tried to escape. The Federal National Guard Troops in the building at that moment tried to neutralise the armed criminals, but they opened the fire. During the shootout all criminals were neutralised. One guard and one riot police officer were injured. Law enforcement agencies are working on the scene; the investigation is ongoing."
