lliam Friese-Greene is a much misunderstood Victorian inventor who created one of the very first moving picture cameras to shoot on film, years before Edison or the Lumiere Brothers. This talk looks at the work he did with three key collaborators and how this has been misunderstood and misrepresented over the years. It also looks at how other motion picture pioneers - Edison, Le Prince and Donisthorpe - failed to properly credit their collaborators.
[Please note that licking the inside of my lips is a sign of a dry mouth caused by nerves, rather than a drug habit. Honest.]
