nt in Niagara Falls, Ontario, in order to witness a tribute to the Azeri Day of Independence, which saw the waterfalls light up to the colours of the Azeri flag, a tri-colour scheme of blue, red and green.
Footage captured by an eyewitness as part of a live stream shows a mix of families and individuals appreciating the show of lights, which brought colour to the famous waterfalls in a night environment, with many attendees opting to bring Azeri flags to show support for the state of Azerbaijan.
The Azeri national independence day has been observed for many decades, having been established following the move in which the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic adopted a constitutional act on the declaration of independence on the 18th October 1991.
