More and more Allied prisoners are being released by advancing Armies. Stalag XIB and Stalag 357, both near Fallingsbostel, were liberated by the 7th Armoured Division - the "Desert Rats".

- Crowds of prisoners rush to open gates at approach of Allies at Stalag XI B, Fallingsbostel. Various of thousands of prisoners all nationalities. CUs types. pan tents which represented the hospital, weak, half starved men sit around. GV of man with paralysed foot being helped round the camp. Pan cemetery where many prisoners have been buried. At Stalag 357 Fallingsbostel more crowds of prisoners. Pan their 'Shanty-town'. Various groups of prisoners. Notice gives compliment of the camp, prisoner chalks up 300 German prisoners. The captured Commandant & his Quartermaster stand under control tower which now flies Allied flags. GV Germans being marched off. Another place in Germany Paul Wyand brings to the mike two Sergeants, Reg Isherwood & John Richards who give some of their experiences in Germany, rations etc. these were captured in Arnhem. At Brunswick, Oflag 79, largest officers POW camp. Various of groups, inc. Indian officers. One fellow shouldered is issuing cigarettes, all very cheerful. Major General Carl Veith walks down steps from buildings. Gives smart Hitler salute & enters car.
