2020 to March 7, 2021. Thom has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in curatorial roles at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, and McMichael Canadian Art Collection. He has organized more than 100 exhibitions and published extensively. His publications include writings on artists Emily Carr, Franklin Carmichael, A.J. Casson, Robert Davidson, Edwin Holgate, E.J. Hughes, Ann Kipling, Arthur Lismer, Jock Macdonald, David Milne, Jack Shadbolt, Gordon Smith, Takao Tanabe, Tom Thomson, Andy Warhol, and many others. Thom is a member of the Order of Canada, a recipient of the RCA Medal, the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the British Columbia Museums Association Distinguished Service Award.
