In this clip, Bob interviews Richard Dawson, who talks about growing up in England during WWII. Bob also talks briefly about being in school during the war, and plays "My Country Tis of Thee"/ "God Save the Queen" as performed by Stan Kenton and his Orchestra.
This recording is courtesy of Scott Crane. It was digitized from a cassette tape Bob Crane created in 1972. The fact that it exists is remarkable. While one or two individuals might think the recording is of "poor" sound quality and not worthy of being shared on YouTube, we disagree. The sound quality, while not "high definition," is still good. In addition, we have made this recording available in our efforts to preserve broadcasting history and to further educate the public about Bob Crane's life and career.
