als. In 1961, the second batch of the State Protection Unit finished their training and officially replaced the first batch. In January 2004, for remission traffic in Beijing, the Chinese Government decided to cancel the State Protection Unit. But in October 2014, the State Protection Unit was relaunched and completed its mission in the APEC Summit. To celebrate the founding of PRC, the State Protection Unit joined the military parade and guarded veterans in front of Tiananmen Square for the first time. In 2016, they also completed their mission in the G20 Summit hosted in Hang Zhou, East China. From 2014 to 2019, they have completed more than 700 missions.
