n 20 years the museum has presented a Houdini museum tour and magic show to the public. The museum is currently run by well known magicians, Houdini experts and magic consultants, Dorothy Dietrich and John Bravo (Dick Brookz). The Florida exhibit displays over 150 original Houdini artifacts, books, pictures and props about Houdini dating from 1883 to the present. There are autographed books, original newspaper articles, photographs, magazines, handcuffs, advertisements, a printing block, patent papers, a Houdini vest, keys and locks, film clips and a Houdini Bobble Head doll on display in the three sections of the large enclosed exhibit. One of the sections has a large pillory stock escape invented by Houdini as well as a huge milk can used for escapes. The display is the world's largest traveling exhibit ever put on depicting the life of the legendary escape artist and magician. The exhibition took many months of planning and coordination between the casino and the museum.
The Houdini Museum has in their collection over 3,000 items related to Houdini and picking the artifacts that would be both transportable and the most representative of the legendary performer was a huge job. This particular display was accomplished with the help of Gary Friedman, events co-coordinator of the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino and producer Allen Valentine of Elite Marketing Group in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The entire month of February, 2011.
