ke the the show a tribute to the quirkiness of the movie while also creating a deconstructed musical, making fun of the archetypes found in American musical theater. The show premiered in March to sold out crowds every night and was very well received.
This video is an edit of the first two nights the show was performed, so there may be some odd continuity between shots. For example, Insp. Clay's bald wig will disappear and re-appear a few times (it ripped ten minutes before the show started opening night, so we abandoned it). Then again, this is Ed Wood, so odd continuity shouldn't bee too much of a problem. The show also featured lots of projected video, so I super imposed the projected video on here so you can see it better.
"Plan 9 From Outer Space: The Musical" was originally performed in 2003 at The Box Theater in Fort Worth, TX (http://theboxtheater.com). It was adapted for stage and directed by Michael Johnson. Original music created by Johnathon Brinkley, Damon Gay, and Michael Johnson.
