The song wasn’t the song yet. Im so glad I trusted my artist gut. Getting on that show, in front of some of the greatest songwriters we have, was the biggest blessing. My little song baby was finally fully grown and she was perfect. I have to admit, I prayed I didn’t win that show. I wanted to keep this song. I couldn’t imagine someone else singing it, even if it was megastar, H.E.R. Here we are over half a decade later and the time couldn’t feel more right. I am so excited for this one.
