GSR offers previously unprecedented levels of protection and significantly reduces physiological and psychological burden experienced by the user thanks to features such as an increased field of view, reduced breathing resistance and improved drinking system. GSR will be personal issue for all Service Personnel, together with entitled civilians and others closely allied with the Armed Forces such as the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
