tistic director of the series, pianist Gintaras Januševičius. It was fulfilled in three steps:
At first, the audience of the concerts was asked to write poems about Hanover or mention people, places and events, that made Hanover famous. Then the most interesting suggestions were chosen and sent to 15 composers from USA to Singapore. After every composer chose a subject or a poem and wrote a short piece on it, the artistic committee of "Plathner's Eleven" put the bits together and so the "Ode to Hanover" was born.
Alfred Koerppen (Germany, *1926), Derek Woods (Canada, *1982), Matteo Bertolina (Italy, *1988), Natalie Williams (Australia, *1977), Octavio Vazquez (Spain, *1972), Jerzy Mallek (Poland, *1947), Ladislav Kupkovic (Slovakia, *1936), Vladimir Gorup (Croatia, *1983), David Kosviner (South Africa, *1957), Nailia Galiamova (Lithuania, *1961), Nadezhda Yotzova (Bulgaria, *1984), Roman Yusipey (Ukraine, *1979), CJ Darnieder (USA, *1988), Daniel Yiau (Singapore, *1986) and Victoria Poleva (Ukraine, *1962) contributed their compositions to this project.
