An emotional and proud recap of our Serengeti Marathon experience with my mum Maura Ward.
WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE VIDEO! XX
This is also one last plea to help us find a cure for Parkinson's Diseas
...
e (donation link at the bottom).
For 10 years PD has hit my mum, slightly worse and worse each day. But here she is, still with a smile on her face and a gin in her hand. From climbing mountains in Japan to slogging out a 10k across Tanzania.
If, like me, you find what my mum does inspirational please, please find $10 to donate. One day we'll find a cure, and we can all play a part.
In the mean time, I want to say I'm so proud of you mum. Despite the tremors, despite the muscle aches, the issues with swallowing, or with balance, a million other things that Parkinson's does, you're still standing, and still pushing back. And still showing people that a chronic illness needn't dictate what you can do in life.
Thanks for leading from the front. I love you.
