cy. But just who is this Lucy? You see, Lucy wasn’t a person, but a dog—and, more specifically, she was Reichardt’s dog. Together, Lucy and Reichardt lived and worked together in New York, where they were inseparable friends. And when we say inseparable, we mean it: Lucy accompanied Reichardt to the sets of her movies, and, little by little, she began appearing in those movies. And in 2008, she appeared alongside the fantastic Michelle Williams in the modern indie classic Wendy and (you guessed it) Lucy. For National Dog Day, we explore the moving relationship between Kelly and Lucy.
