arbeau and Jennifer Holmes. Major stars were not yet willing to lend their names to the AIDS cause, so it was staged as a special tribute to the "dames" of classic movies, and those who agreed to attend included Mamie Van Doren, Sheree North, Terry Moore, Adele Jergens, Vivian Blaine, Virginia O'Brien, Betty Garrett, and Marie Windsor. Patti Page, whose "Old Cape Cod" was played in the show, also came, as did paying guest Jean Simmons, who had come on her own as a paying customer, but joined the other ladies on stage for the curtain call. If you watch closely, you can see Marie Windsor whispering to Lu Leonard that Simmons had gotten at the end of the line.
