into DEMA's Hall of Fame.
Past recipients of the Reaching Out Award include diving pioneers who have helped develop techniques related to their special areas of expertise, including science, equipment design, training, retailing, travel and safety. To become a member of DEMA's Hall of Fame is an extraordinary achievement available only to those who truly deserve to be praised for their outstanding efforts and contribution to the sport of diving. Past recipients of the ROA include Jacques-Yves Cousteau (1989), Dr. Sylvia Earle (1991), Zale Parry (1993), Lloyd Bridges (1994), Howard Hall (1999), David Doubilet (2007) and most recently Dan Orr and Dick Rutkowski (2012).
