A political asylum seeker from Afghanistan, actress Azita Ghanizada's path from the beginning was one of breaking cultural barriers both in the east and the west. As an advocate, she has lead the charge to be a strong voice for the underrepresented on television and film, and has, at times, put her career at risk to tackle outdated systems in Hollywood. She believes that story telling and cultures represented on TV and Film have a tremendous responsibility in how we teach people.
