ncess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II) signing the scroll which the clerk holds.
Provost McMichael makes a speech (natural sound) and presents the Burgess ticket in a casket to Princess Elizabeth. He then gives her a scroll.
Princess Elizabeth makes a speech about the honour and presents the scroll to Lieutenant Colonel MacMillan of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The Colonel makes a speech thanking the Princess and the Provost for the honour (incomplete).
Mute shots of the Colonel and Princess Elizabeth walking to a courtyard - the regiment barracks or headquarters? She inspects some soldiers and chats to them and their families.
Mute shot of the lines of soldiers cheering the Princess after the ceremony. Princess Elizabeth chats to the Colonel. Six planes fly overhead in formation after the main ceremony (natural sound). The soldiers present arms to Elizabeth and the National Anthem is played. Spectators look on.
