This video is about two coyotes fighting over territory. Coyotes normally hunt alone or in pairs and very rarely as huge packs unless they are going to attack a larger prey. Coyote packs range in size

from two adults to about ten, plus pups. The pack always includes an alpha male and female, and beta adults only very rarely breed unless they ascend to alpha status. Coyotes are territorial, so one pack will try to stay away from the area marked by the other pack. Howling is one way of sending message out to the rival pack about their presence in the area and claiming the territory. But if coyotes from two different packs come face to face then the fights can quickly escalate. Coyote packs will mark their territory by urinating like dogs. However, unlike dogs Coyotes also use scat to mark the most heavily defended core areas. Coyote packs appear to defend all the area they regularly use. The size of territory is dependent on the size of pack and the amount of food available. If the pack relies on a natural diet, their territory will be larger than the ones who rely on the diet subsidized by humans.
