ীর আইসিডিডিআরবি-তে এক অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ মন্তব্য করেন। পুতুল আরও বলেন, প্রতিবন্ধীদের ভবিষ্যত চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবেলায় শারীরিকভাবে অক্ষমদের সঠিক পরিসংখ্যান তৈরি করাসহ সবাইকে একসঙ্গে কাজ করতে হবে।
এছাড়া সায়মা ওয়াজেদ পুতুল বলেন, এটা সত্যিই দারুণ ব্যাপার যে, বাংলাদেশ সরকার, জনগণ, রাজনীতিবিদ, কমিউনিটি লিডার, কর্পোরেট লিডারসহ সবার মাঝেই অটিজমসহ শারিরিক প্রতিবন্ধকতা বিষয়ে সচেতনতা তৈরি হয়েছে। সকলেই উপলব্ধি করছেন যে, এটি আমাদের প্রত্যেকেরই ইস্যু। তবে শারীরিক অক্ষমতা মোকাবেলায় আমাদের সচেতনতা আরো বাড়ানো উচিত, সকলেরই কাজ করতে হবে একসঙ্গে। আর এর মধ্য দিয়েই আমরা সফল হতে পারি এবং আমাদের দেশ হতে পারে বাকি বিশ্বের কাছে রোল মডেল।

Everyone is realizing that this is the issue of each of us. But our awareness should be increased to combat physical inequity, everyone will have to work together. And through this we can be successful and our country can be a role model to the rest of the world.
