off wild animals such as wolves , bears, foxes, wild boars, leopards etc. And Kangals do this job perfectly, most of the time in packs. However, Kangals are good at fending off wolves even one on one. We wouldn't say that they would be able to tackle a grey wolf one on one . But wolves in Turkey are quite smaller in size as compared to the grey wolves, and Kangals can tackle them easily on most occasions. But this particular kangal that was taken away by the wolf was not fully mature yet. Most probably 6 to 7 months old and also wasn't aware of the wolf approaching from behind. Once the wolf got hold of it then it didn't let it go. In the third clip a Kangal went crazy and attacked the sheep flock of the neighbours. The little black dog first fled the scene and then later on rather than helping the sheep , it started to nip on its legs. We don't know the reason behind this attack as the sheep were grazing in their own land. We can only assume that it wasn't trained properly . if it would've been properly trained.
