In order to verify technical feasibility on July 16 a demonstration and test flight from Mannheim to Dortmund-Wickede and back was carried out. - The original film was shot in Kodachrome Super 8. Das Kernproblem des Mannheimer Flugplatzes ist die geringe Länge der Start- und Landebahn. 1983 betrug sie nur 730 Meter. Für den geplanten Linienflugbetrieb lag es daher nahe, die Einsatzmöglichkeit von kurzstartenden Flugzeugen zu testen. Dies geschah am 16. Juli mit einem Demonstationsflug des 4motorigen STOL Flugzeuges Dash 7 zwischen Mannheim und Dortmund. - Der Originalfilm wurde auf Kodachrome Super 8 gedreht. Den Sound der Dash 7 für das Video stellte freundlicherweise "crowd1011" (siehe YouTube Kanal) zur Verfügung.
