In 1979, Southern rock band Molly Hatchet released their version of the song as part of their sophomore album "Flirtin' With Disaster", and it seems that aside from the fans of the band, hardly anybody knows this cover version. Putting aside the fact that it's "just" a cover, I think it's a hidden gem in Molly Hatchet's catalog. R.I.P. the original Molly Hatchet. None of the musicians you hear in this recording belong to this world anymore (not counting the piano player and the backing singer, who weren't band members).
