Doukhobour ideas of non-violence countering the climate of terrorism prevalent in today's world. Carolyn Zonailo's Doukhobour family history leads her to oppose terrorism in any form and for any ideological reason. Some background to the Doukhobours-- they originated in Czarist Russia and were eventually deported en masse to Canada in 1899 because of their nonviolent beliefs--and what they believe are included in the poem. This is a historical first public reading of the poem. Lynn Hart (on the left) is a Montreal-based psychologist.
