Mahanadi is a 1994 Tamil-language Indian drama film
Story & Screenplay by Kamal Haasan Directed by Santhana Bharathi featuring Kamal Haasan, Sukanya and Cochin Haneefa. It portrays the grief of a humble villager who sees his family and property being ruined. The film deals with several issues such as corruption and child trafficking. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
