hrome-lined barrels are less accurate than non-chromed barrels. According to the guys, this once WAS true; early chrome-lined barrels were terrible. But nowadays the chrome-plating process is extremely consistent, so now there's no meaningful difference in performance between chrome-lined and non-chromed barrels, at least at ranges under 1,000 yards. EXCEPT your chrome-lined barrel IS more resistant to corrosion. The modern chrome-lining process works particularly well on cold hammer-forged barrels - and Caleb explains why that is. The corrosion-resistance of chrome is still a great advantage if you shoot a lot of corrosive ammo OR you don't clean your gun often. For the average shooter, a chrome-lined barrel's service life is so long, it'll last longer than he/she does! So in 2021, that myth is BUSTED. Chrome-lined barrels shoot just as well as non-chromed ones.
