However, farmers reached the venue and disrupted the CM's programme. They damaged the stage and broke chairs, tables and flower pots at the venue. The programme was later cancelled.
The farmers also took control over a makeshift helipad where Chief Minister's helicopter was to land.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
