The University of Southern Maine's Muskie School of Public Service celebrated the centennial of Edmund Muskie's birth on November 15, 2014 with appearances by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and PBS NewsHour political commentator Mark Shields.
Both Shields and Albright started their careers working with Senator Muskie and they spoke of the profound influence he had on the nation, particularly on environmental laws, as well as on their own lives. And they spoke of what Muskie would have thought about politics today.
